PGA/Professional Golf Management™ at EKU

The PGA/Professional Golf Management™ Program at Eastern Kentucky University is an option within the College of Business and Technology (CBT) department of Management, Marketing and Administrative Communication (MMAC). The College of Business and Technology is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).

Graduates of the PGA/PGM™ Program at EKU will receive a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing and the PGM option. Students will receive a comprehensive business education which will prepare them for responsible positions in the golf industry. The Professional Golf Management component contains 41 credit hours out of 137 credit hours required to earn a BBA degree. Upon graduation a PGA/PGM™ student from Eastern Kentucky University will be eligible to apply for PGA Membership.

Academic Guidelines

Students must follow the Academic Procedures and Regulations of the University as well as those in the College of Business and Technology (CBT).

Graduation Requirements

  1. Complete all EKU, CBT, and PGM academic requirements.
  2. Complete PGA/PGM™ Level 3 Checkpoint.
  3. Complete 16 months of approved Cooperative Education experiences.
  4. Pass the PGA Playing Ability Test.
  5. Attend two national workshops hosted by PGA Career Services.
