Cooperative Education at EKU

Students wishing to enroll in the PGA/Professional Golf Management™ Program at Eastern Kentucky University must meet all of the criteria and requirements for admission to Eastern Kentucky University.

The Eastern Kentucky University Cooperative Education experience gives students an opportunity to apply classroom theory and PGA/PGM™ Work Experience activities in a workplace setting under the supervision of a site supervisor as well as the PGA/PGM™ Program staff. The PGA/Professional Golf Management™ option requires co-ops of all PGA/PGM™ students in accordance with the PGA of America standards. Co-ops are scheduled during the summer months following an academic school year (3-month co-ops) with an extended co-op scheduled once a student completes the University academic requirements.

The cooperative education component of the curriculum will require a minimum of 16 months of employment at an approved facility or site.
